The award was presented by <strong>Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Becerra Carollo, Director General of Animal Rights, and Rosa Mart\u00ednez Rodr\u00edguez, Secretary of State for Social Rights<\/strong>, to Dr. <strong>Pilar Coy Fuster<\/strong>, Scientific Director of Embryocloud.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Recognition for Innovation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This project has won the <strong>2023 Animal Rights First Prize for the Most Innovative Alternative Experimentation Project<\/strong> due to its impact on reducing the use of animals in research, innovation, and <a href=\"\/es\/\"https:>scientific-technical quality.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>A New Alternative in Biomedical Testing, a<\/strong><strong>iming for ISO17025 Certification<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Embryocloud is working on this project to become the <strong>world\u2019s first company accredited with ISO17025 for the bovine embryo assay<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Through this project, the company aims to offer an <strong>alternative for embryotoxicity tests<\/strong> used in the biomedical industry, which currently relies on the mouse embryo assay. If proven equivalent, the <strong>bovine assay would prevent the sacrifice of millions of mice<\/strong>, as it uses material collected from animals raised for the food industry in slaughterhouses,
